 Women's and Children's Health Services is devoted to improving the health of women and children. The program collaborates with other programs at Providence Everett Medical Center -- such as the Comprehensive Breast Center, the Family Maternity Center, and the Heart and Vascular Institute -- to provide complete health care services for women of all ages.
Examples of our Women's Health Services include these important programs:
Family Maternity Center: With more than 3,200 women choosing to deliver with Providence Everett Medical Center each year, we've grown to become one of the largest birthing centers in Washington State.
Family Resource Center: A walk-in center located in the Pavilion for Women and Children providing books, pamphlets, literature searches, videos, Internet access and retail products to help you take charge of your own personal wellness.
Providence Regional Cancer Partnership: Whether it is ovarian, breast or skin cancer, the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership has the equipment, technology and professionals from various cancer treatment disciplines to provide state-of-the-art care.
Chemical Dependency: Provides patients with medical detoxification, if needed, and rehabilitative treatment for alcoholism and other drug dependencies.
Comprehensive Breast Center: Located on the first floor of the new Pavilion for Women and Children, the Center is the largest of its kind in Puget Sound and is a partnership between Providence Everett Medical Center and local physicians.
Heart and Vascular Institute: Cardiovascular disease is the #1 health issue for both men and women. Signs and symptoms for a woman are often quite different from those for a man. Providence Everett Medical Center has been named three times as one of the Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation and twice named as #1 in Washington State.
Midwifery Care: When you choose Providence Midwifery Care, you can expect your certified nurse-midwife to guide you through your pregnancy and to be with you during labor and delivery.
Musculoskeletal Institute: Achy joints and back pain may be signs of getting older, or maybe of something else. The Providence Musculoskeletal Institute is the largest provider of joint and spine services in Northwest Washington.
Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse: The Center promotes emotional and physical healing for people victimized by sexual violence and provides 24-hour crisis line service, medical and legal advocacy, medical examinations, support group services, community education and referrals.
