The Providence General Foundation has a variety of funds that you can support based on your own personal areas of interest. Contributions can come into the Providence General Foundation in two ways. Support given for a specific purpose is restricted in its use and can only be used for the donor’s intended purpose. Gifts given for general use are unrestricted, and can be directed to the area of greatest need. How unrestricted funds are allocated is determined by the Providence General Foundation with thoughtful consideration and in coordination with hospital administration. Most funding supports programs and services that cannot be accommodated in the hospital’s budget and that would not be possible without the private support of generous donors like you. Propelled by growing community need for healthcare services, Providence Regional has initiated the largest, most comprehensive expansion project in its history. In 2011, Providence Regional will open the doors of a new 368-bed, $500 million, state-of-the-art medical tower. The new medical tower will provide the space and technology to enhance the award-winning clinical excellence in cardiac, vascular and stroke care and specialized treatment in cancer, neurosurgery, orthopedics and general surgery that is available today. This campaign is the largest fund raising initiative ever undertaken in Snohomish County—both in dollar amount and community impact. Since its inception, the Breast Center has experienced tremendous growth. Funds will benefit new technology to more efficiently screen patients and increase quality imaging.
