About Us

Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County was founded in 1978 and is a 501(c)(3) organization serving Snohomish County and Camano Island every day of the year. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our community by providing professional, compassionate, quality care, in appropriate settings, enabling individuals and families to manage health care problems and life-threatening illnesses.

We are affiliated with the Providence Health System whose mission is to continue the healing ministry of Jesus in the world of today, with special concern for those who are poor and vulnerable. Working with others in a spirit of loving service, we strive to meet the health needs of people as they journey through life.

Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County provides quality, timely, comprehensive medical care in the patient’s home. By providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support, our trained staff and volunteers assist the patient and family as they work towards medical rehabilitation or a peaceful and dignified death. We work to promote optimum patient comfort through pain and symptom management, palliative care, stress reduction, and the general well being of the patient.

The wide-ranging care provided by Providence Hospice and Home Care includes the service of physicians, registered nurses, CWCN registered nurse wound care specialists, medical social workers, rehabilitation therapists, home health aides, chaplains and volunteers. The collaboration and teamwork that is demonstrated by these qualified individuals provides a comprehensive and caring medical experience for patients and their families.

Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County is a member of the Home Care Association of Washington, National Association of Home Care, National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and the Washington State Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County is a United Way Agency and has the largest hospice and home health care program in the area.
