Providence Respite Care

Respite care is temporary relief for patients’ families and caregivers. Respite is an important family support service. Planned and crisis respite is a vital part of the continuum of family services intended to reduce family stress, support family stability, and minimize the need for out-of-home placements.

Providence Hospice volunteers serve as short-term caregivers allowing the primary caregiver an opportunity to rest and recuperate. A brief respite from the responsibilities of caregiving enables them to care for additional family members, run errands, avoid exhaustion, and prevent future illnesses.

Providence respite care is available to all families who are utilizing Providence Hospice care. Please talk to your nurse case manager for more details.

Please refer to the Calendar of Events for the next scheduled Caregiver’s Support Group or call (425) 261-4808. The Caregiver’s Support Group is open to the community.
