Patient and Family Advisory Council Members

 

Cheryl Lebouef
A member since August 2006, Cheryl brings the perspective of patient, family member, and a hospital discharge planner to the council. She joined the council to share ideas on improving hospital communication and safety.

Di’Ana Robinson
A member since Feburary 2010, Di’Ana has a passion for patient advocacy. She plans to use her many years of experience as a Medical Social Worker as well as a Providence Regional patient to provide constructive feedback to issues brought before the Council. As an Advisor, Di’Ana is helping to develop a new volunteer Patient Liaison position and will serve on the Outpatient Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.

Gail Arnold
Gail believes that a team approach to health care is important with the patient being the center of the team. She has been a member since December 2009 and was inspired to join after supporting a family member through a series of patient experiences at the hospital. She brings many years of experience working in the special education department for the school district. Gail is an Advisor on the Rapid Response Committee.

Gary Linger
Gary is a retired JC Penney manager who joined the Council as a way to be involved in his community. Gary was drawn to the Council because he served in a similar capacity on another hospital community council. As an advisor, he is helping to plan the transition to the new Medical Tower in 2011, an excellent way to use his professional experiences as well as his point of view as a patient and community member.

J.Marie Riche
J.Marie is a communication and public relations strategist with deep ties to the community. Her experience with patient care at the hospital was as a family member of a patient. J. Marie is a member of the Patient Story Committee and has been a Council member since December 2006.

Kathleen Lefcourt
Kathleen is interested in helping the hospital understand patient care through the patient and family perspective. Kathleen's goal is to bring true meaning to the hospital’s commitment to “family-centered care”. She is using her many patient and family experiences to tell stories from which others can learn to glimpse an experience through her eyes. She's been a council member since May 2008 and is a member of the Emergency Department Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.

Lisa Worl
Lisa works for Providence Regional as a discharge planner but also brings her experiences as a patient and family member. Lisa wants to ensure that patients and families have the best experience possible at Providence Regional and has a special interest in assuring that patients have the educational materials they need. Lisa joined the Council in February 2010.  Lisa is serving as an Advisor on the Outpatient Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.

Mikkel Barstad
Professionally, Mikkel customizes wheel chairs, and he is passionate about helping the elderly, children, and the disabled. Mikkel has been a council member since April 2008 and has served as an Advisor to the Patient First Team and the Rapid Response Committee.

Nancy Mitchell
Nancy is a member of the Emergency Department and the Critical Care Patient and Family Centered Care Committees as well as serving on the Council Selection Committee. As a retired drug store owner, Nancy has special interests in quality of care and public relations. She believes that the small things make a big difference in how the public sees problems. Nancy has served on the Council since October 2005.

Peggy Busch
Peggy is a Providence Regional staff member and the mother of a patient. Peggy joined in February 2008 to share her ideas on improving coordination of services especially in outpatient areas. She is serving as on the Patient and Family Centered Care Critical Care Committee and the Emergency Department Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.

Robin Jones
Robin uses her experiences as both a patient and a family member to promote better patient care and improved communication between patients and caregivers. She's been an Advisor since April 2009. Robin has served on many performance improvement projects at the hospital and is a member of the Emergency Department Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.

Shirley Mohr
As a community member, Shirley wants to share her extensive work experience in quality improvement. She has a special interest in educational materials and processes to improve patient outcomes. She's been a member since December 2007 and is the co-chair of the Council.

Stella Barger
Stella became involved with the Council in December 2009 because she was very impressed by the consideration given to her by Providence Regional nurses and Spiritual Care. Stella wants to support good communication with patients and families.

Sundee Hack
Sundee Hack has been a member of the Council since November 2005 and serves on the Council’s Selection committee as well as volunteering for several patient focus groups and the New Medical Tower Transition Planning Team. With a background in customer service, Sundee's goal is to help make the patient experience at the hospital positive and improve communication between patients and caregivers.

Sylvia Irwin
Sylvia joined the council after she was treated for cancer. She feels that other patients and their families would benefit from her personal experience. Her goal is to provide patients with additional opportunities to give feedback about their care. Sylvia has been a member of the Assistance League of Everett for many years and has been a member of this Council since July 2008. She's also on the Selection Committee and the Nonclinical Patient and Family Centered Care committee.

Verna Hill
Verna offers her experience as a member of the Tulalip Tribe as well as a Patient Care Coordinator at the Tulalip Health Clinic to help bring about positive collaborative changes for patients. She's been a council member since September 2009 and a member of the Emergency Department Patient and Family Centered Care Committee.
