The Providence Regional Cancer Partnership brings together physicians with clinical expertise in medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology, as well as in oncology research, integrative medicine, and cancer support services. These physicians form a brain trust of cancer knowledge unsurpassed in this region, and will work together to devise the best treatment plan for each individual patient.

Dr. Saikaly serves as the Medical Director for the Cancer Partnership and is responsible for the overall quality of care delivered at the facility. Dr Saikaly completed his medical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, one of 20 of the world's leading cancer centers which belong to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). He has developed and taught a variety of college-level honors courses, and serves as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Puget Sound Oncology Consortium.

As Medical Director of the Medical Oncology division of the Cancer Partnership, Dr. Coughenour oversees the operations of the chemotherapy infusion program. He has served as a medical oncologist in this community for 20 years, and has participated in a variety of clinical trials. In 1973, he authored Chemotherapy Protocols, published by Bristol Laboratories. In the past he served as Medical Director for the inpatient oncology unit at Providence Everett Medical Center, was President of the Snohomish County Medical Society, and a liaison to Medicare for the Washington State Medical Association.

Oliver A. Batson, MD, joined The Everett Clinic in 1991. Dr. Batson received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Indiana University Medical Center.  He went on to earn a Fellowship at the University of Vermont in Hematology and Medical Oncology and is board certified in Hematology, Internal Medicine and Oncology. He is a member of the Puget Sound Oncology Consortium.

Luke Walker

Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Walker completed his post graduate training at Oregon Health Sciences University with fellowships in both general Medical Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. He has been involved in multiple clinical and lab studies, focusing on leukemia and the growth of blood vessels in tumors. He moved to the Everett area in 2005, where he has been actively involved in further clinical trials in general oncology, and where he continues his practice in general medical oncology and hematology at The Everett Clinic.

Dr. Wisbeck serves as Medical Director for the Radiation Oncology division of the Cancer Partnership. Originally from Seattle, Dr. Wisbeck received his medical degree from the University of Washington, and has served as their Assistant Clinical Professor for Radiation Oncology since 1990. Dr. Wisbeck has served in leadership roles for a number of professional affiliations, most notably as President of the Snohomish County Medical Society, as the Washington Division Director of the American Cancer Society, and as President of the Radiation Oncology Section of the Washington State Radiologic Society. He has published numerous paper, abstracts and book chapters about a variety of oncology topics, and has been asked to speak at regional and national cancer conferences.

Dr. Adam has 28 years experience as a Radiation Oncologist, having practiced in Seattle for 22 years. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American Society of Clinical Oncology, and served as an investigator for the Children's Cancer Study Group for 18 years.

Dr. Cole is a Radiation Oncologist with Northwest Washington Radiation Oncology Associates. She was Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Providence Seattle Medical Center from 1984 - 2001. She has been practicing in Everett at the Flynn Cancer Center since May, 2001. She and Dr. Steve Adam have shared a practice since 1998.

As Medical Director of the Surgical Oncology division of the Cancer Partnership, Dr. Smith—a breast cancer specialist—oversees the surgery program, which includes a growing cadre of surgical oncology sub-specialists, including a urological oncology surgeons and a thoracic oncology surgeon. Dr. Smith brings 30 years of cancer expertise to this community, and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, melanoma, and metastatic and recurrent malignancies. He has served as member of the American Cancer Society Leadership Council, and has served as a Liaison Fellow for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Dr. Smith is regarded as one of the nation's foremost oncology experts, and has been recognized as one of the "Best Cancer Specialists in the U.S." (Good Housekeeping), one of the "Best Doctors In America" five times (Woodward/White), and one of the "Best Medical Specialists" (Town & Country).

Peter Jiang, MDPeter YZ Jiang, MD

Dr. Jiang oversees the clinical research efforts at the Cancer Partnership. He graduated in 1986 from the Hua Bei medical College in Tangshan, China.  He then earned is Ph.D. in cancer immunology at the Royal Postgraduate School at the University of London. He served as research associate and staff scientist in cancer immunology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, and went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Yale University’s program at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut. He then came to the Pacific Northwest and served as a clinical oncology fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Dr. Jiang’s research projects have been widely publicized, and as a clinical researcher, he brings current medical research in oncology from the lab bench to the bedside through various clinical trials at the Cancer Partnership.

Cheryl Beighle, MDCheryl B. Beighle, MD

Dr. Beighle serves as the Cancer Partnership’s Medical Director for Integrative Medicine, a collection of therapies that complement the traditional modalities of medical, surgical and radiation oncology. Although Dr. Beighle started her medical career as a pediatrician, a particular interest in integrative medicine led her to complete a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in 2003.  She has received a certification in Clinical Hypnosis, and is an approved consultant for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She founded and serves as Medical Director of the Attention Evaluation Clinic, and set up and taught mind-body medicine classes for adults with chronic somatoform disorders. She has lectured on hypnosis, mind body medicine, and the use of herbal therapy in clinical practice.

Dr. Schoenfeld oversees the Cancer Partnership’s psychological and social support services. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Schoenfeld has written several newspaper columns about behavioral health, including for the Snohomish County Business Journal and Seattle’s Child. Dr. Schoenfeld implemented and staffed the first cancer patient support group at The Everett Clinic in 2000. Under the direction of the Program, the  NCCN Distress Assessment tool is being implemented for ongoing assessment of all patients at the Cancer Partnership.
