Acute Care Program
Providence Rehabilitation Services provides over 70,000 treatments annually to inpatients at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. When patients with diagnoses such as heart attacks, head injuries and fractured hips begin receiving appropriate therapy as soon as possible, they receive the benefits of greater mobility and enhanced ability to care for themselves after leaving the hospital. Physicians and insurance companies also benefit from a therapist's evaluation of a patient's functioning ability to help determine the next step in continuing care.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
The 19-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit located at Providence's Pacific Campus cares for nearly 300 patients each year. Here, therapy is focused on giving patients the skills and support they need to stay at home after discharge. Therapy revolves around enabling patients to attain improved mobility and self-care skills such as dressing, bathing, feeding and toileting. Our approach also includes ensuring that families feel prepared to meet ongoing care needs of the patient. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Program significantly exceeds national averages for amount of function gained per patient. This means that for every day of rehabilitation, our patients make quicker progress towards greater independence. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Program has been continuously accredited by CARF -The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission - since 1980. CARF standards of care allow Providence to maintain high quality, valuable rehabilitation services for all persons served.
