Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction
It’s important to recognize that coronary artery disease is a chronic, progressive disease. This means that if left to its own, it will continue to develop blockages in your arteries. However, there are various means to help arrest the progression of the disease.

The Heart Center provides several programs proven to assist patients in their recovery and promote heart-healthy lifestyles. Through a customized cardiac rehabilitation program, patients at Providence Everett Medical Center can greatly reduce their chances for an additional occurrence, often by as much as 25 - 60%. Our rehabilitation and prevention programs are highly individualized according to each client’s needs and condition; the ultimate goal is to reduce the risk of a future cardiac event. Each program features one-to-one and group therapy. Clients attend two or three times per week for 2-12 weeks, then may attend several follow-up visits over the next two years. Clients may also attend monthly support groups indefinitely. Physician referral is usually required. Many insurance companies provide for full or partial coverage.
