Healthy Heart Program

 

Let our cardiovascular health and rehabilitation expert help you learn your risk of heart attack and stroke and what action to take to prevent them.

Healthy Heart Exam
This basic assessment requires one or two visits to our clinic and takes 30-60 minutes each. This exam could save your life. The exam includes:

  • Cardiovascular health questionnaire
  • Resting EKG reading
  • Blood glucose and cholesterol test
  • Blood pressure test
  • Consultation with a prevention specialist

Cost:  $50

Healthy Weight Loss
This program emphasizes the “Mediterranean” lifestyle—with a focus on eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, “good” fats and lean protein, avoiding processed foods, and limiting simple carbohydrates and saturated fat, along with moderate-intensity, regular exercise.

Cost: $20 for introductory 90-minute class includes several books and other handouts. Minimum pre-registration class size 5, maximum 20.

Cost: $50 for optional one-on-one program with individualized instruction over a three-month period.

Healthy Exercise
Begin with a 90-minute one-on-one session to assess your exercise tolerance. This program includes an individualized exercise program with two follow-up sessions. Then continue supervised exercise sessions at our clinic, up to twice per week for three months

Cost:  $50 for initial 90-minute one-one session.
Cost:  $50 for three month, supervised exercise sessions at clinic

Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Education and individualized exercise therapy is available for people who have recently had a heart attack or heart surgery, or have lung disease. Physician referral is required. The cost varies; insurance billing is available.
