1962: Intracranial surgery becomes available fulltime in Everett.

1979: Sanford Wright, MD establishes local practice bringing transcranial Doppler technology for monitoring intracranial vasospasm to town; and pioneers intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring for removal of cerebellopontine angle tumors.

1988: Neurosurgical physician assistant recruited by Dr. Wright to elevate level of post-operative patient care.

1990: J. Michael Geier, MD joins Everett Neurological Center practice, and together with Dr. Wright, improves neuro-operative treatment in Everett by the introduction of computer guided intracranial navigation.

2006: Sanford Wright, MD named Medical Director of PEMC Neurosciences Institute.
