Mary Jo Mitchell, ARNP, received her BSN from Seattle University in 1971. She received her certification as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1991 through a program sponsored by the University of Southern California. Before joining Providence Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005, she worked for the Seattle King County Department of Public Health, and Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, on a nationwide postmenopausal study.
Mary Jo has experience working with women of all ages. She believes in patient education, quality of care, and preventive care.
Mary Jo has been married for over 30 years and has two grown daughters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, traveling, and taking care of her dogs and cats.
