Yearlong webcam learning culminates in construction site tour Directing a crane operator isn’t exactly an everyday activity for a third grader.
But on May 29, wearing sturdy hardhats, the third graders of Lakewood’s English Crossing Elementary School did just that, getting a firsthand look at the building they’ve been watching for the last nine months – Providence Regional’s new medical tower.
With weekly big-screen viewings of the tower’s construction webcam, Ms. Angela Lohry engaged her class in learning about communities, construction, scientific predictions and more.
The class was thrilled to finally see it all in person on their sunny field trip to the construction site.
