A managed care approach to injured worker treatment offers quality medical services that are easily accessible and convenient.
Providers participating in the program have an interest and expertise in occupational medicine and support an early return to work strategy that allows an injured worker to remain in a productive environment while recovering. Benefits for employees injured on the job also include:
- You may continue to treat with your family physician if your physician is a primary care physician or authorized nurse practitioner and agrees to treat within the guidelines of the MCO.
- All of your medical services are coordinated by Providence Health & Services.
- Access to a toll-free line to obtain assistance in selecting a physician, scheduling an appointment, or receiving more information about the managed care program.
- Expanded chiropractic services
- An appeals and grievance process that is fair and equitable
