Text Size: New Treatment Cost Estimator Tool
Up-to-date cost estimates based on a member’s specific health plan coverage are now available through myProvidence.org.
Members must create a Providence Health Plan account using their member ID and group numbers to access the tool.
How personalized is the estimate?
The software takes into account a member’s deductible, copay, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximum and any processed claims when calculating estimates for selected treatments.
Members can compare doctors and facilities by cost and view a breakdown of charges for in-network and out-of-network services, including physician fees, inpatient and outpatient hospital and office charges.
Members may also create a PDF, print or save their estimates - or view a Google map of selected providers.
Which treatments are included?
The tool estimates costs for 42 common inpatient and outpatient medical procedures, including:
- Arthroscopy – shoulder.
- Breast ultrasound.
- Chest X-ray.
- CT scan – abdomen.
- Mammography.
- MRI scan.
- Foot X-ray.
- C-section.
- Vaginal delivery.
- Total hip replacement.
- Total knee replacement.
More procedures will be added over time.
