Getting Started with Providence Health Plan
If you are new to Providence Health Plan, we've assembled the top resources you need to get started with your health plan coverage.
View Your Health Insurance Information
Your member materials are important documents that describe your health insurance benefits in detail. Your member materials include:
- Summary of Benefits
- Member Handbook
You can view these documents when you register for a myProvidence account. myProvidence is our secure internet portal that gives you access to your personal health insurance information.
Create a myProvidence Account
Register for myProvidence:
- Step 1: Visit our myProvidence Registration page
- Step 2: Fill out the myProvidence Registration form using your Providence Health Plan
Membership ID number. (You will receive your Member ID number in your Get
Started Packet. Your Member ID card will also be mailed to you.)

- Once you've registered, view your member materials:
- Step 3: Click on the Providence Health Plan Tab

- Step 4: Click on "View your benefit summary" or "View your member handbook" to
view your specific member materials

Creating a myProvidence account not only gives you access to all of your health insurance information, it's your gateway to tools and resources exclusively for Providence Health Plan members!
Providence health plan members have 24-hour, secure access to:
- Review your insurance claims history and details (pharmacy claims coming soon!)
- Find a doctor, pharmacy or facility within your plan
- Order a replacement Member ID card
- Research health conditions, treatment options and costs
- Compare quality ratings for hospitals and facilities
- Create your own Personal Health Record with WebMD
Member Identification Card
Providence Health Plan will send you a member identification card by mail. Take your member identification card to all medical appointments. You may order a replacement at myProvidence or call your Customer Service Team.
