It allows access to high quality medical care at reduced rates. The Providence Preferred providers give employees medical care; the health plan administers the benefits and pays your claims. This means that if you are a Providence Preferred member, you have the option to seek medical services from a provider listed in the Providence Preferred provider directory. By doing this, you are ensured lower out of pocket costs. Providers will bill the insurance company or claims administrator. That organization then determines the benefits and pays your claim for you. It's that simple.
