An independent audit of the health care market in and around Portland found happy customers among Providence Health Plan members.
According to research conducted by Paul Abel, Ph.D., an adjunct professor at Oregon Health & Sciences University and managing partner of Blue Research, Providence Health Plan leads competitors in member satisfaction (PDF), loyalty (PDF) and advocacy (PDF).
Among the research findings:
- 78 percent were extremely likely to recommend Providence Health Plan
- 71 percent were extremely likely to choose Providence Health Plan again
- 79 percent were very satisfied with Providence Health Plan
Providence Health Plan's popularity among those sampled for this audit is consistent with its reputation with employers as a quality health insurer. According to the CAHPS quarterly survey 9 out of 10 members would recommend Providence Health Plan.
