You have access to over 22,000 participating pharmacies and their services nationwide. There are four types of participating pharmacies:
Retail Pharmacy
A pharmacy that can provide up to a one month supply of prescription medications. Search the pharmacy directory for a pharmacy near you. Some Retail Pharmacies are Preferred Retail Pharmacies that provide additional services.
Preferred Retail Pharmacy
A pharmacy that can provide up to a 90-day supply of prescription medications.
Providence Health Plans preferred pharmacies include all nationwide branches for:
- Albertsons/Sav-on
- Costco
- Florence Pharmacy
- Fred Meyers/Kroger Stores
- OHSU Outpatient and Clinic Pharmacies
- QFC
- Safeway
- SUPERVALU, Inc.
- Walgreens
- Yokes Food
- All Providence Pharmacy locations
Mail Order Pharmacy
A pharmacy that can provide up to a 90-day supply of maintenance medications and specializes in direct delivery to your home. You have the choice of three mail order pharmacies:
Specialty Pharmacy
Specialty drugs are prescriptions that require special delivery, handling, administration and monitoring by a pharmacist. These drugs are listed on the Providence Health Plan formulary with a status of "specialty."
