Introduction to the Family Birth Center
Learn about the new Family Birth Center’s amenities, services and staff through a presentation and tour.
Preparing for the birth of your baby
This series of classes is designed to educate and support expectant parents. Learn about prenatal care, labor/delivery breathing and relaxation, newborn care, breast feeding and parenting a new baby. A free breastfeeding class also is available.
 6 Session Course
Includes childbirth preparation, breastfeeding basics, newborn care and a tour of our new Family Birth Center. The class meets on Monday evening for six weeks, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A substantial snack will be provided each night. Fee: $85.00 Please check with your insurance to see if you can be reimbursed for this fee.

Weekend Course
Provides a condensed version of the 6-session course; includes tour. This course meets Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A morning snack and lunch will be provided. Fee: $85.00 Please check with your insurance to see if you can be reimbursed for this fee.

Breastfeeding course
Breastfeeding may be natural, but it's not always easy. To help mothers provide the best nutrition for their newborns, Providence Hood River offers a free breastfeeding course designed to help mothers succeed at breastfeeding. Classes are held at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. The class is free, but pre-registration is required.
