Participants learn about nutrition, exercise, relaxation, labor, breathing techniques, teamwork with partner, birth, and newborn care and feeding, and they will tour the hospital’s Family Birth Center.  Childbirth Class
Call (541) 387-6340 to sign up for a class that begins before you are 30 weeks pregnant! Each class series for first time mothers/partners is 5 nights (Wednesdays). Cost for the five-class series is $38 for those who plan to deliver at PHRMH and $60 for those who plan to deliver elsewhere.

Breastfeeding Class
The last class in each childbirth class series is devoted to breastfeeding. Others may join just this class to learn the importance of breastfeeding and the basics of breastfeeding a newborn. Call 541-387-6340 for dates and times.
This class is free of charge.

Refresher Course
(For those who have already attended a Childbirth Class for a previous delivery) Join the regularly-scheduled childbirth class on nights 3 and 4 of the series for a refresher on labor and delivery, medication options, and a tour of the Family Birth Center.
Cost is $25.
Classes are held from 6:30-9 PM in the PHRMH Education Center, Conference Room 1. Parking for these classes is available in the north lot, 13th Street side of the hospital.

Parenting, Mom, and Baby Group Classes are offered through New Parent Services.
