Faith In Action Revs Up "Books On Wheels" For Homebound
Homebound people get frustrated when they can't get to the library to check out books, tapes or videos they have heard or read about. That's about to change.
Faith in Action's Providence Community Caregivers has started a new service, "Books on Wheels," a volunteer program that brings Hood River County Library "booty" to avid, but homebound readers and listeners. Volunteers with the outreach program are ready to learn what each person enjoys reading and in what format, then head to the library to "shop" from that list. The result should be a lot of satisfied readers and volunteers.
For more information or to sign up for "Books on Wheels," call Faith in Action/Providence Community Caregivers at 541-387-6404.
