CARING FOR AGING LOVED ONES TOPIC OF TALK
We spend much of our lives nurturing others: raising children, caring for friends and family. But, caring for those who have nurtured and cared for us takes on a whole new, and much more complicated, perspective when that person is an aging or ill parent, spouse or other loved one. Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital’s chaplain, Gary Young, will gently address this complex topic on Thursday, May 17, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., at Providence Brookside, 1550 Brookside Drive in Hood River. There is no cost to attend.
He will particularly address red flags and warning signs that a change could be about to happen; juggling guilt and obligation; coping with care giving; where to find help; and tips every adult “child” can use. There will be plenty of time for discussion. To register, call Hood River Community Education, 541-386-2055.
