NO KIDDING – DOLL SHOWS ARE FUN FOR ALL AGES
PROVIDENCE SENIOR VILLAGE
HOSTS A DOLL SHOW

HOOD RIVER, Ore. –Providence Senior Village will host a doll show, Noon to 4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Down Manor in Hood River.

The event will showcase the collections of community members Carol Arnold, Dorothy Akin and Mits Tamiaysu and will feature a variety of unique antique, life-size, Japanese, cabbage patch and kewpie dolls. Also on display will be dolls from Down Manor residents – including some dolls more than100 years old.

“You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a doll show,” says Jacky Croy, Brookside Manor activities coordinator. “Collecting and showing dolls is flourishing among people of all ages. We’re excited to have our residents participate in this event and display their collections. The collections are truly amazing.”

The community is invited and admission to the event is free. A donation of canned food is suggested to help our local food bank. For more information, call 541-387-6370.
