NEWER, LARGER RAY T. YASUI DIALYSIS CENTER IS OPEN!

Gorge residents who have been on a waiting list are now receiving their dialysis services in Hood River, and no longer have to drive to Portland three times each week. They have joined 32 existing patients in the newer, larger Ray T. Yasui Dialysis Center, located on the top floor of Providence Health Services Building's new addition. "We have 12 chairs, instead of eight, and run four shifts each week," says Dialysis Nurse Manager Kevin Chase.
Meanwhile, construction has begun on physician office and clinic space that will occupy the middle floor of the addition. The new space will include seven exam rooms, a rheumatology infusion room, a nurses' station, three physician offices, a laboratory and reception area. Construction will be completed by spring 2006.
