TIPS FOR EASIER PARKING AT
PROVIDENCE HOOD RIVER DURING CONSTRUCTION
Feb. 1, 2008
HOOD RIVER, Ore. - As construction moves forward at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, a few quick tips will help make parking easier for patients and visitors.
Tip #1 - Emergency Room Parking:
If you have an emergency and there isn’t an open parking space, just leave your car next to the construction fencing in the lane at the far end (east) of the Emergency Department and notify the ER clerk inside. If you can’t park, don’t worry, we will take care of it. If you need access to the Emergency Department entrance, please enter. Do not let construction activities - including trucks, noise, fencing or limited parking spaces - deter you.
Tip #2 - Free Valet Parking
Free valet parking for patients, families and visitors is available 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the main hospital entrance. Those who would like to use this valet service can drive up to the main entrance of the hospital and give their keys to the uniformed parking attendant. Their car will be parked, locked and returned to them at the same location, as soon as they’re ready for it. Trained parking attendants also assist with wheelchairs, walkers and personal items. Volunteers will direct or personally escort visitors to their destination. There is no charge for this service. Signs will direct patients to the valet station at the main entrance of the hospital, located at 13th & May Streets. General parking and handicapped-access parking will still be available for those who prefer to self-park.
Tip #3: - A Shuttle is Available
Patients, families and visitors can use the shuttle, located in the hospital’s NW parking lot (off 13th street and Montello, below the ER). To use this shuttle service, call the attendant using the intercom system located at the parking entrance.

Providence Hood River thanks everyone in the community for their patience during our construction. For more information on valet parking and construction, please call the hospital’s construction hotline at 541-387-8949.
