Swindells Center at Farmer's Market

Do you have a child with a disability? Do you have a friend or relative with a child with a disability? The Swindells Center, a resource for family and friends of children with disabilities, would like you to know we are now in Hood River.

Come join us at The Gorge Grown Farmers' Market at the Hood River Middle School across from Jackson Park on Thursday, June 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Learn more about how the Swindells Center program can help families get information and connect to resources. While parents talk, their children can be entertained with face-painting and other fun activities.

The Hood River Center is a satellite office of the Jean Baton Swindells Resource Center for Children and Families in Portland. We are a no-cost resource specifically for parents and family members who have children with disabilities. The Center offers a lending library, parent education and speaker events, as well as a very useful Care Notebook and Organizer.

The Swindells Center works with each family to match them with the best resources. The staff works in partnership with other organizations to help make a difference for families and not duplicate services.

Swindells at Hood River is located in the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital's Health Services Building on May Street. They can be contacted at 541-387-8920. More information is available at the Swindells Center web site: http://www.providence.org/childcenter.
