Workshop Focuses on Understanding the “Why” of Problem Behaviors

Parents, caregivers and friends of children with disabilities are invited to a special workshop “Assessing Problem Behaviors: Causes and Consequences-An Approach to Understanding the “Why” of Problem Behaviors.” This workshop is sponsored by The Swindells Center at Hood River, in partnership with the Eastern Oregon Regional Developmental Crisis Program for People with Developmental Disabilities.
Alice Massey, director of the Eastern Oregon Regional Crisis Program will share tips, resources, stories and ideas from her many years working to support challenging behaviors of children and adults. She will address both the cause and effects of problem behaviors and present a thoughtful approach to finding solutions. The workshop is set for the evening of Tuesday, November 6th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Hood River Public Library Meeting Room. Time is planned for discussion, brainstorming and connecting with others.
