 | | About the Doctor Rheumatologist Shirley Ingram, M.D., recently joined Providence Arthritis Clinic and typically sees patients with rheumatoid and other inflammatory arthritis as well as oesteoathritis (arthritis associated with aging). "It's rewarding to assist those with arthritis and auto-immune diseases," said Dr. Ingram. "I chose rheumatology partly because of the intricacy of the immune system and the challenge of finding solutions for arthritis."
Dr. Ingram is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and served her residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.
"The Columbia River Gorge is a beautiful place full of kind and open people," said Dr. Ingram when asked what brought her to Hood River. "Also, I was acquainted with rheumatologist Daniel Sager, M.D., and knew he was excellent clinician. So joining his clinic was a great fit."
Dr. Ingram grew up in Phoenix, Ariz., and has lived in the Northwest since 1980. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Recently she and her husband backpacked through the Grand Canyon. She continues to appreciate how important it is to her patients to stay as active as possible.
