Providence Gamelin House

 
   

Welcome to  Providence Gamelin House in Seattle,  Washington. Gamelin House was completed in 2005 as part of the redevelopment of the community known as Rainier Vista in  South Seattle. We provide secure and affordable housing for seniors, living independently, in a friendly, caring atmosphere. Gamelin House occupies the top three floors of a four-story building. The first floor of the building houses the Providence  ElderPlace program along with retail businesses.

Overview

  • Rents are subsidized by the government.  Residents pay 30% of their annual income for rent.
  • Four-story building (with elevator) with 77 one-bedroom apartments. Four of the apartments are accessible for disabilities.
  • Apartments are approximately 515 square feet with full kitchens.
  • On-site laundry.
  • Access to neighborhood P-Patch.
  • One small pet allowed with pet deposit.
  • Non-smoking building.
  • Secure inside mail box delivery.
  • Secure building.
  • Community room, outdoor terrace, computer lab.
  • Regularly scheduled social activities.

Eligibility Requirements

Residents must be at least 62 years old. (In a two person household, only one person needs to be 62.) 

Annual income must be below $27,250 for a one person household or below $31,150 for a two person household.

Management and Operation
Gamelin House is owned and operated by the Providence Health System, a nonprofit Catholic health care organization dedicated to serving all in need.
