Jerry Hoganson, Administrator, 425-391-2890 jerry.hoganson@providence.org Jerry has worked in clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes over the past 30 years. He served as a missionary with the Lutheran Church in Madagascar for three years running two 60-bed hospitals. His undergraduate studies were at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and graduate studies were at St. Mary’s in Minneapolis.
Jerry and his wife Chris are originally from Minnesota. They have two grown children. Jerry's hobbies include music, bicycling, golf, and cooking.

Marianwood Welcomes New Director of Nursing: Kay Wagers
Providence Marianwood is pleased to announce the hiring of Kay Wagers as the new Director of Nursing Services at Providence Marianwood. “I’m excited about becoming part of the Providence family,” says Kay, who started at Marianwood in late December. Kay has over 40 years of nursing experience in many different fields of practice including emergency room, medical/ surgical nursing, neonatal intensive care and geriatric staff nursing.
Kay has worked in the role of Director of Nursing at several facilities in Minnesota. She is an RN with an undergraduate degree in Health Care Administration from Metropolitan State University and has a Master’s degree in Business also from Metropolitan State University.

Dr. Bill McKee, Medical Director
Dr. McKee received his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics, and has been in practice for 27 years. In addition to his Family Practice training, he did a fellowship in Behavioral Medicine. While in his 20 years of service in the Air Force, he was on the teaching staff at a major military medical center for 12 years. He now has a private practice with the Evergreen Medical Group. He has been Marianwood's Medical Director since 1999.
Bill loves to play guitar, sea kayak, ski and bicycle.

Dr. Bruce Smith, Assistant Medical Director
Dr. Smith received his medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He worked as a physician at Virginia Mason for many years. Currently he practices medicine at Bellevue Internal Medicine, specializing in geriatric care. He has been Marianwood's Assistant Medical Director since 1999. |

Johann Neethling is Marianwood's Chaplain. He is married to Anne, his beloved bride of 39 years and is the father of three beautiful married daughters, and grandfather to five exceptional grandkids. Johann is an ordained United Methodist minister, and a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. He possesses a M.Div. from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, and a M.A. in Counseling from Webster University. Johann was born and raised in South Africa, where he was ordained in 1975 and pastored rural and city congregations till 1986 when he and his family moved to the United States. In this country he has served churches in Indiana, Texas, New Mexico, and Washington. He has served 8 years as chaplain in private school settings with diverse ethnic and religious student bodies, and has operated as volunteer chaplain in hospitals in Indiana, Texas and Washington. Until December 2006 he served as volunteer chaplain to the new Swedish Issaquah Emergency Department. |

Nora Batura is the Rehab/Post Surgery Unit Nurse Manager. She has worked at Marianwood since 1987. She was in the first graduating class at BCC’s School of Nursing. When she finished raising her three boys, she came to Marianwood and has been here ever since.

Sharon Bare is the Nurse Manager for both the Long Term Care Unit (Unit D) and the newly certified Rehab/Post Surgery Unit (Unit C). She has worked at Marianwood for over five years, and has many years of experience in long term care management. She received her nursing degree from Everett Community College.
Nancy Cucinotta is the Dementia/Alzheimer's Unit Nurse Manager. She has worked at Marianwood since it opened in 1986. She started on the long term care unit before moving to the Dementia Unit. She has worked in geriatric nursing her whole career. She was born and raised in New Jersey and received her BS in nursing from Rutgers College in Newark. Nancy says her work in the field of dementia care is "a joy and a blessing. Always challenging and very rewarding."
