In addition to our Long Term Care Units, our after-surgery Rehab Unit and our Dementia Unit, other services include:

Therapy Services
We offer Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, which is available to all our residents and patients. Physical Therapy is also offered on an out-patient basis. Our highly trained therapists get rave reviews on our satisfaction surveys, and statistics prove they achieve the highest success with their patients compared to other facilities. We provide designated parking for our visiting patients, are conveniently located, and our rehab area overlooks a beautiful courtyard and gardens.

Respite Care
Being a full-time caregiver can be physically and mentally exhausting - particularly when the individual that you're caring for is someone you love. Those providing constant care for a loved one need time away from their duties to take care of their own needs. Respite allows you this time by providing quality care while you are away, allowing you time to relax and come back to your caregiver role revitalized and better able to care for your loved one. Respite care can be arranged for as few as three or as many as 30 days.

Palliative/Hospice Care
The final stage of life need not be painful and frightening. Our palliative/hospice program provides personalized support to the terminally ill and their families that includes pain control, social, emotional and spiritual support.

Healing Therapies
We offer a range of complementary therapies for residents and patients, such as naturopathic medicine, massage, Therapeutic Touch, laughter therapy and music therapy. Our specially designed spa rooms offer hydrotherapy tubs with aromatherapy and music that give patients and residents a pampered bathing experience. Pets are an integral part of Marianwood. We currently have five resident cats, many dogs who regularly accompany staff members, and we welcome visiting pets. we provide gardening experiences for those residents who "enjoy digging in the dirt." A hair salon offers a full range of services such as manicures, perms, colors and cuts. Check out our Healing Therapies page for more information. Check out other programs offered through our state-of-the-art Recreational Therapy program.

Physician Services
A full compliment of clinical services round out the programs made available at Providence Marianwood. Our Board-Certified Medical Director sees patients weekly and works closely with the patient or resident's primary care physician to ensure continuity of care. Additionally a Board-Certified psychiatrist makes weekly rounds. A podiatrist, dentist and ophthalmologist routinely assess long-term care residents' needs and our social workers host support groups for patients' family members learning to cope with change.

Ethics Committee
An interdisciplinary ethics committee that includes clinical practitioners from the broader community provides guidance directing care and maintaining the quality of our services. If additional services are needed following discharge, we work closely with the Sisters of Providence Health System and other providers to help families access resources.

Quality Assurance
An interdisciplinary team of physicians, Nurse Managers, Social Services, and Administration meet regularly to discuss individual cases and to assure a high level of consistent quality care throughout the facility.
