Benefits of Giving
Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Planned gift arrangements have specific tax advantages and may include lifetime income to a beneficiary or beneficiaries named by the donor. Many gifts allow you to save taxes in two ways - both with an income-tax charitable deduction and via capital gains tax savings (e.g. gift of appreciated securities). Unrestricted gifts to the Foundation are used by the discretion of the Board of Directors where the need is the greatest. Past gifts have met many critical needs:

  • Implement a special Alzheimer's care program "Gentlecare."
  • Purchase vital patient-care equipment.
  • Provide charity nursing care to the indigent.
  • Initiate the Faith in Action Program to assist people in the community maintain their independence.
  • Provide scholarships to nursing and other staff.
  • Meet facility refurbishing needs.
