Stories from the Heart

Kathryn Grant, a resident, had three special visitors come see her! They are her great-grandchildren; triplets who were only 7 weeks old when this photo was taken.
Resident cats provide a lot of comfort to residents and patients, either cuddling in laps or occasionally assisting with physical therapy!
Residents gather on the back deck in the summer for a glass of beer. Not to worry, Sam, an LPN, conducts finger-to-nose sobriety tests. It appears the carousing is more from the party atmosphere than the O'Douls (non-alcoholic beer).
Four generations are represented in this photo. Resident Vivian Flagg is in front, with her great granddaughter Mareesha, granddaughter Julie and her daughter Anita (left to right).

Occasionally we enjoy celebrating our resident's 100th birthday. Here CeCe celebrates her's.   Max turned 100 at Marianwood too!

Resident Samuel Thompson, or "Larry," as he prefers to be called, is helping Felix, our resident kitten, learn to be a lap cat. Looks like it's working!

Felix the resident kitten, and Belle, a poodle that thinks she's a cat, play daily together.  They are about the same color, same size and same age!
