Located just 12 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank was founded in 1943 by the Sisters of Providence. With 431 licensed patient beds, Providence Saint Joseph is the largest hospital serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys and offers state-of-the-art technology and high quality, compassionate care in a variety of medical specialties.

The Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center also offers one of the most comprehensive cancer services programs serving the region, with survival rates that are among the best in the nation. All of these high quality services will move to The Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, which is scheduled to open in early 2009.
The 57,500-square-foot, four-story center will be the first of its kind serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys -- a patient-focused center that will treat the body, mind and spirit of each patient. The new center will be the largest provider of cancer services in the region, offering diagnosis, treatment, professional counseling, access to support groups and educational resources in one healing environment. Construction will cost $36 million with most of the dollars raised primarily through donations from the community.
