- The new Patient Care South Addition will provide major benefits to the local economy. The project will provide an estimated $64 million in labor jobs. The project will provide 171 construction jobs during the project’s peak periods. The construction will be done by union contractors.
- Upon completion, the new facility will provide 250 new full-time jobs. Providence Holy Cross will reach out to hire former San Fernando Valley health care employees displaced by the closures of other hospitals and medical facilities.

- Providence Holy Cross is proud of our employees’ accomplishments and is committed to provide a great work-life. During a recent employee engagement survey, 81 percent of the employees agreed that “Providence is a great place to work.”
- Providence Holy Cross is also proud of its employees’ community involvement. Employees donated $450,000 to the Providence Holy Cross campaign to double the size of the emergency department and trauma center from 15 beds to 32 beds. A third of all Providence Holy Cross employees donated to this campaign.
- Providence Holy Cross strives to have the safest work environment within the Southland. Providence Holy Cross will continue to provide for the safety of our employees and patients.
- Providence Holy Cross employees are residents of the local community. Today, 20 percent of Providence Holy Cross employees live within the 7th Los Angeles City Council District in which the medical center resides. This employee base provides more than $20 million annually to the 7th Council District, which includes the communities of Mission Hills, Pacoima, Lake View Terrace, Panorama City, North Hills and Sylmar.
