Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center also offers one of the most comprehensive cancer services programs serving the region, with survival rates that are among the best in the nation. All of these high quality services will move to The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, which is scheduled to open in early 2009.
The 57,500-square-foot, four-story center will be the first of its kind serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys -- a patient-focused center that will treat the body, mind and spirit of each patient. The new center will be the largest provider of cancer services in the region, offering diagnosis, treatment, professional counseling, access to support groups and educational resources in one healing environment. Construction will cost $36 million with most of the dollars raised primarily through donations from the community.
