Why BabyWise?
You'll Feel Right at Home
We want this wonderful experience to be as joyous and comfortable as possible. Our LDR (Labor/Delivery/Recovery suites) provide a home-like setting, and are equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and delivery capabilities.
Afterwards, you'll rest in a private post-partum room with a bathroom and shower, television, fully adjustable bed and a special chair for Dad.
Comforts From the Start
We believe in Mother Baby Care, which means that your newborn can be with you as much as you wish. This enables you and the baby to begin bonding and exploring each other's worlds right away.
Mother Baby Care also means our nurses teach you to be at ease with your baby. You can observe and discuss basic baby care such as bathing, skin care, cord care, infant sleeping and eating patterns, and learn when to call the doctor.
We also have specially-trained nurses and lactation consultants available to provide support to our breastfeeding moms.
And, in keeping with our philosophy that emotional support is important for physical care, our spiritual care team comforts people of all faiths in times of stress and crisis, and offers special blessings and Communion.
Your Baby is Safe and Sound
At Providence, infant security is never taken for granted. We require identification bands for all mothers and babies, and our staff must wear picture ID name tags at all time. We also teach parents how to ask questions and take simple security precautions.
