Your chances of successful treatment are better when cancer is found early.
Women should have regular mammograms, or x-rays of the breasts, to look for breast changes or cancer. If you are 40 or older, you should talk with your doctor about making a schedule for testing. Most women have mammograms every one to two years.
Through our state-of-the-art facilities and world-class, board-certified physicians, Providence Regional Cancer Centers offer a wide range of screening and early detection services, including our state-of-the-art Providence Saint Joseph Breast Health Center.
To determine which services are best for you, ask your personal physician or contact our Health Resource Center at 1-888-HEALING (1-888-432-5464) for a referral to a Providence-affiliated physician. Or you can find a cancer treatment specialist by searching our online physician directory.
