Excellence in service is core to our mission at the Providence Laboratory. We are committed to providing outstanding service and quality to meet all of your laboratory needs. Working as your partner, we will help you provide the highest quality of care to patients. The extensively trained Providence Laboratory Client Services Staff serves as a resource to address your questions regarding test results, specimen requirements, processing and turnaround times. Our staff also is available to take supply orders and test add-on requests, and to provide verbal laboratory orders. In addition, our technical staff is available to discuss tests results, methodology and procedures as well as to consult in unusual cases. Services Available
- Client Supplies are available for any item used in collecting routine blood work, anatomic pathology and cytology specimens that will be submitted to the Providence Laboratory.
- Test Requisitions with pre-printed physician name and address are available. These can be customized to include commonly ordered tests, specific panels and/or ICD-9 codes to meet your practice needs. Routine and STAT courier service is available on a regular pickup schedule or by “will call” arrangement. Lock boxes are provided for after-hours pickup.
- STAT Testing is completed immediately upon receipt of specimen. This service is offered at no additional charge. Results can be phoned or faxed.
- Connectivity Solutions are available to receive test results and trend data as well as look-up specimen requirements and test methodology. Order entry online is provided through ProvCare, our Web-based system. Providence Laboratory provides remote printers, faxing of results and interfacing.
- Reporting Options include finals only or preliminary.
- Flexible Billing Options, such as client bill, patient bill, third-party bill, Medicare and Medi-cal billing, are available.
- Turnaround Time for most clinical testing is 24 hours. Cytology and pathology specimens require 24 to 72 hours.
- Onsite Pathologists and Physician Consultations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Client Services and marketing representatives also are available.
