Hundreds of babies are born each month in our labor and delivery rooms. Our experienced physicians and skilled nurses help make this joyous event a healthy and personal time. Our Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) Suites provide a home-like setting while being equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring and delivery capabilities. We believe in Mother/Baby Care, which means that mothers can keep newborn by their sides as much as they wish and nurses teach new moms how to be at ease with their baby.
Our Web Nursery allows family and friends to see baby's first pictures on the newborn's own web page.
Our Board-Certified perinatologists are specialists in caring for any type of high-risk obstetrics and prenatal diagnosis, when there are health concerns for the mother or baby or both. Providence Holy Cross is a designated "Baby-Friendly" hospital and offers genetic counseling, which is available to those with a family history of genetic or medical problems. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center offers breakthrough 3-D ultrasound technology that allows parents and physicians to see a baby in three-dimensional clarity before it's born.
