Smarter Weigh
If you’re struggling with your weight, you’re not alone. Nearly two-thirds of American adults are either overweight or obese. Individuals with a Body Mass Index of 25 to 29.9 are considered overweight, while individuals with a BMI of 30 or more are considered obese, which refers to an excessively high amount of body fat in relation to lean body mass. Being obese, or overfat, puts you at greater risk of developing such serious health risks as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer.
