Providence Health System
Providence Health System operates 19 acute care hospitals, 19 freestanding long-term care facilities and 15 low-income and assisted-living facilities in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and southern California. As part of this system, Providence Medford Medical Center has access to the expertise, education and experience of more than 34,000 health care employees and affiliated physician networks to provide the best possible care in southern Oregon.
Providence Medford Medical Center (PMMC)
- The PMMC is a 168-bed acute and outpatient care facility.
- All rooms are private.
- Emergency department is designated a Level III trauma center.
- On-campus rental housing is available for patients and their families.
- PMMC is one of the area’s largest employers — with over 1,100 employees.
Providence Medical Group (PMG) — South
PMG is the largest group of primary and specialty care physicians in the region. More than 40 physicians offer cardiology, internal medicine, family practice, pediatric, and ob/gyn healthcare, as well as general and vascular surgery. Clinics are located in Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville, Shady Cove and Phoenix.
Providence Plaza and Providence Pavilion
Two medical office buildings, built for patient and physician convenience, are linked to Providence Medford Medical Center.

Providence Cancer Center a comprehensive regional center with advanced technology for diagnostic and radiation oncology. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, cancer resource center and clinical research trials.
Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center at Providence Medford Medical Center focuses on early breast cancer diagnosis and treatment options, using the latest imaging technology for digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and computer-aided cancer detection. A dedicated oncology nurse navigator assists newly diagnosed breast cancer patients through
treatment and recovery.
Providence HeartCare: a full service cardiology program, including cardiac diagnostic procedures, surgical intervention, medical management and nutritional services for heart disease. Advanced technology includes a 64-slice CT scanner for the most advanced, non-invasive look inside the body in just seconds.
Providence Regional Rehabilitation Services the only inpatient rehabilitation center in the region. Inpatient and outpatient services provide treatment for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic injury, hand injury and worker rehabilitation. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for achieving the highest standards for inpatient rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation services.
Providence Surgical Services consists of eight operating rooms with state-of-the-art equipment, including image-guided technology. Surgical specialties are urology, lithotripsy, ob/gyn, spine, cardiac, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, cancer, plastic, thoracic, trauma, general, ear, nose and throat.
Providence Spine Program combines a team of physician specialists to provide treatment options for spine patients, including medical and surgical evaluation, pain management, cutting edge surgical technology, fitness-oriented physical therapy and vocational rehabilitation.
Providence BirthPlace designated the 26th Baby-Friendly ™ facility in the
United States by the World Health Organization. Modern labor-delivery-recovery
rooms have convenient wireless medical monitor systems for mother and baby. There
are two designated surgical suites for Cesarean births, and a special needs nursery.
Outreach services include education and lactation certified specialists.
Providence Senior Services offers caregiver listing services, Lifeline emergency response and Medivan medical transportation.
Providence Home Care provides in-home care for chronic disease management, education, respiratory, cardiac care, nutritional and medical social services. Physical, speech and occupational therapists help maintain independence at home.
Providence Hospice assists in physical, emotional, social and spiritual end-of-life needs, with an emphasis on effective pain control and symptom management. Services are provided either in the home or in a long-term care setting.
Providence Spiritual Care Department committed to serving the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff, whatever the religious tradition, including crisis intervention, counseling, ministry, and ethical consultation.
