An Evening of Giving
Facing tough economic times, an uncertain future and Jackson County facing one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, Providence Community Health Foundation, with the support of a very special sponsor is reaching out to families in-need who live right here in our own community. An Evening of Giving was created as a new initiative this year as part of the 2009 Providence Festival of Trees Event. On Friday, December 4 from 6-9 p.m., we will open the doors to the Festival of Trees to those in our community who may not be able to afford to attend the event much less experience the holiday season. Tickets are limited so we have identified local, family-focused nonprofit organizations that will be asked to distribute tickets to their constituencies.

Not only will each family receive free admittance to the Festival of Trees to see and experience the magic of the holidays, they will also enjoy entertainment, craft activities and have the opportunity to take their photo with Santa Claus.
