2008 Festival of Trees Benefits Charity Care Services

This year Providence Medford Medical Center is dedicating funds raised during Festival of Trees to the charity needs of the patients we serve.

Our Mission - "As people of Providence we reveal God's love for all, especially the poor and vulnerable, through our compassionate service."

For nearly 100 years this mission has been a guiding principle, and through stewardship of our resources, we have been able to serve all patients in need of our care, regardless of their ability to pay for services. The objective of Providence is to meet community needs through the provision of financial assistance for medically necessary healthcare in a fair, consistent, respectful and objective manner to low-income patients who do not have insurance coverage.

In 2007 Providence Medford Medical Center delivered over $18 million in charitable services, assisting over 10,000 adults and 5,200 children who needed care and did not have the means to pay for services. An additional $234 thousand was contributed to other Rogue Valley charitable organizations that provide charity to the poor and underserved population whose needs are outside the scope of Providence Medford Medical Center's services.

Charity care at Providence encompasses a diverse population in our community including the underinsured, the working poor, the indigent and homeless population (including homeless children), seniors, and those with mental and physical limitations and addictions.

Your support will enable Providence to continue it's charitable mission in Southern Oregon and provide the highest quality of care to everyone, regardless of his or her ability to pay.
