daVinci Update

 
• In June 2007 the Foundation committed to raising $1.6 million to fund the purchase of da Vinci Robotic Surgery Technology.

• 10 local physicians have been trained to use the daVinci robotic technology.

• 32 gynecologic procedures and 44 urologic procedures have been performed at PMMC

• 2007 Festival of Trees raised $540,000 toward the purchase of the $1.6 million daVinci Robotic Surgery System.

• The Foundation has also been involved in Major Gift Acquisition to fund this project. 20 groups of donors have participated in tours to see the daVinci technology, resulting in gifts totaling $245,000.

• Open Houses have been held for employees, Guild members, and retired physicians to see the robot and to learn about robotic surgery, now available to patients at Providence Medford Medical Center.

• Annual fundraising programs such as the Employee Giving Campaign, the Board and Administration Campaign, Gold Club, the Physician Campaign, and additional donations have brought in an additional $366,000 to fund daVinci.
