MEDFORD, Ore (06/04/07) -- Providence Medical Group (PMG) breaks ground on its new 32,000 square foot medical office building in Central Point on Monday, June 18 at 10:00am. The two-story facility will be a full-service ambulatory center and include outpatient physical therapy and expanded diagnostic imaging services, which is currently not available in Central Point.
The healthcare facility will be located at the former site of Westside Lumber Company on Highway 99, and is being built in response to the rapid population growth in the area. Central Point is the fourth fastest growing city in Oregon, with an expected population growth of nearly 13-percent by 2010.
The eight physicians and employees at the current PMG/Central Point Family Practice located on Manzanita will relocate to the new building in fourth quarter 2008 when construction is completed.
