A clinical trial is a research study on human volunteers to answer specific health questions. Carefully conducted clinical trials are the fastest and safest way to find treatments that work in people and to improve health. Participants in clinical trials can play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research.
Clinical trails are available through OHSU Cancer Institute, Southern Region. The center is a joint venture between Providence Cancer Center at Providence Medford Medical Center, Dubs Cancer Center at Rogue Valley Medical Center and Oregon Health Sciences University. For more information call OHSU Cancer Institute, Southern Region at (541) 789-5003 .
