Based on patient care considerations and nursing discretion, we recommend short visits.
In general:
-
Only two people should visit at one time.
-
Children under 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
-
Visitors may wait their turn in the family waiting room.
The critical care staff is sensitive to the needs of families and significant others during crisis situations. For this reason, we have a flexible visiting policy. This enables more than two visitors to be present in the patient’s room at one time. These situations can occur during special circumstances such as family conferences, patients going to or returning from surgery, a significant change in patient status or at the nurse’s discretion.
