
Providence Diabetes Learning Center offers a series of four two-hour group classes covering the basics of diabetes management including:
• Home glucose monitoring and testing • Diabetes medication • Meal planning • Foot care • Exercise • Psychological and social aspects of coping with diabetes • How to prevent complications
Classes are taught by a team of certified diabetes educators, licensed nurses and dietitians. Evening and daytime classes are available. We recommend attending these classes every five years.
A physician referral is required for insurance billing.
