WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT MATTERS,
PATIENTS GIVE PROVIDENCE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT HIGH MARKS.
 Expanded by 24,000 square feet to enhance community access and patient care.
 There will be 14 new rooms added for a total of 26 including: treatment, critical care, hazardous materials, gynecology, triage rooms, radiology, psychiatric and fast track rooms.
 The increased space will provide improved access to work areas for nurses and physicians, flexibility to accommodate emerging technology and flexible treatment rooms so patients do not have to wait for a special room to fit their particular emergency need.
 Interpreter services are available for Spanish-speaking patients.
 In April 2005, Providence Emergency Department experienced the heaviest patient volume ever.
