WaThe natural beauty and outdoor recreation that the Northwest offers are important to Providence Seaside Hospital physician Jonathan McBride. A native of Lewis County, Washington, Dr. McBride was a University of Washington graduate, majoring with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. For the next four years he was involved in cancer research and cardiovascular pathology research before moving to New York for medical school. He graduated from New York Medical College, where he was the recipient of the Betty Sze O'Neill Award for Excellence in Family Medicine. He returned to the Northwest to complete a residency in Family Medicine in Tacoma before moving to Seaside. Dr. McBride values the community feeling that practicing in a place like Seaside offers. He is particularly interested in childbirth services and pediatrics. Other areas of professional interest include complimentary medicine, nutrition and end-of-life care. His personal hobbies include backpacking, kayaking, cooking and computers.
